Behaviour Consultations
Behaviour or training problems can occur for many reasons at any stage of the horse’s life. It is Emma’s goal to work with the horse and owner in their environment to develop a training strategy that both causes the horse to adapt to the owners desires and is ethical and sympathetic to the horse. Behaviour Workshops and Clinics
You don't need a horse with behavioural problems to benefit from learning about behaviour and training techniques. If you would simply like to achieve a greater understanding of your horse and a deeper relationship with him then a behaviour and training workshop could be for you.
Workshops are tailored to your needs and can be run privately or for a group. Workshops have a relaxed and informative atmosphere, where you can learn how to work with and adapt your horse's behaviour, kindly and effectively. Techniques that may be taught during these include but are not restricted to:

If you, your yard, club or college would like to learn more about the theories of learning and behaviour, then educational talks and discussions can be arranged. Examples of subjects that can be covered during talks at your request include but aren't restricted to:

- Horse management
- Learning theory for owners and riders
- Applying behavioural science
- Evolution of horse
- The equine mind
- The equine nervous system

Riding Clinics and demonstrations.
It is the goal of every rider to obtain harmony with their horse, where the aids are invisible to observers and the seat is both in perfect synchronisation with the horse and independent of the hands and legs. Here are some common aspects of riding and ground work which can be covered in riding clinics and demonstrations to help the rider on their path to obtaining this goal:
- Syncronising the horse and rider to produce a quite and independent seat
- Riding in lightness
- Solving riding problems for horse and rider
- Lateral work and collection
- In-hand classical work to improve the horse
- Long-lining for all levels of training
- Understanding classical dressage
- Riding with the clicker
- Pole work, grid work and jumping
Each session will be tailored to the needs of the horse and rider or the audience.

Training, Schooling, and Backing
If you would like experienced help training or schooling your horse I can help. For example, training a youngster, backing your horse, re-schooling, training for competition or rehabilitation after injury or time out or simply schooling.
